My favorite people,
Before the lake walk, dinner and the inevitable late-night debrief, I wanted to write this down while I could still find the right words.
Thank you for coming. Some of you traveled a long way, some of you rearranged busy weeks, and all of you chose to spend this time in Austin with me. I do not take that lightly.
Every one of you belongs to a different chapter of my life, and I feel very lucky that those chapters get to overlap this weekend. June, thank you for making every plan feel easy. Sage, you have been my forever co-pilot. To everyone else, thank you for knowing when I need a pep talk, a laugh or a quiet glass of wine.
I do not need anything this weekend to be perfect. I just want good dinners, honest conversation and all of you in one place. If I tear up at brunch, please be discreet.
I love you. Thank you for showing up, always.
With love,
Harper
